Atari 8-Bit Game Play, Dark Chambers
4In which I play "Dark Chambers" published by Atari in 1988, which was relatively late in the life-cycle of the 8-bit computers. This game is technically impressive, with smooth 8-way scrolling. Sound effects are minimal, but effective enough. A quiet music track to enhance the atmosphere of the game would have been nice. I did not expect this to be what it was, and I certainly didn't expect to be playing it for 45 minutes! There's a lot of play value in this one, and I suspect it would make a great 2-player game. I think the difficulty could have been ramped up a bit, from what I saw of it.
