In which I play "Draconus" published by Cognito in 1988 with programming by Ian Copeland and Brian Jobling, graphics by Michael Owens, and sound by Adam Gilmore. This is not the sort of game I would have been likely to buy based on screenshots, but it turns out to be fun. It's certainly challenging to survive for long, but it feels like you can learn what will and won't kill you and improve by playing. Graphics and sounds are good, and controls are smooth, once you come to grips with the different options for moving, jumping, punching, and fire-breathing. Recommended!
