8In which I play "Mediator" by Michael Hedley (who also wrote "Neptune's Daughters"), and published by the English Software Company in 1985. It's a bit of a bizarre game, and I think there is a fair bit more to it than I managed to discover. The first portion of the game is guiding a ship down to a landing platform while avoiding enemy hazards. The next part is collecting things on the surface of a planet which seem to be ... missiles(?) ... and then eventually a skeletal horse shows up. That's as far as I managed. The manual isn't much help, but it has a number of extremely cryptic clues. After the mention of the skeletal horse there are a whole bunch more clues which is what leads to to suspect there is a lot more to the game.
