10In which I play "Guard", published in 1992 by Sonix Software out of Poland, programmed by Artur Wojciechowicz.
This is a (very)fast side-scrolling shooter with nice parallax effects. It takes a bit of getting used to. It is not in the player's best interests to be moving as quickly as possible at all times. Controls are good, music is good, then enemies have a variety of looks, and there is fun to be had. I have one gripe, and that is that you can run your ship into its own shots which is frustrating.
