Avoid is an 8-bit Atari arcade game that supports two players.
With one at the top and one at the bottom of the screen, each player controls a spaceship that can move laterally and shoot vertically. Players can only shoot once every direction shift, therefore they must be careful not to move off the screen's edges. By hitting their rival or the two moving targets that traverse the screen, the player can score points. The game lasts for two minutes, or until a participant receives five hits. There are five difficulty settings, and players can play for an additional two minutes and double their score.
