It is time to rise from the ashes and build a sanctuary in the barren wastes of post-apocalypse. Gather materials (be aware, they are finite) to construct buildings, ensure plenty of food and water is being outputted, and establish laws to ensure order among your people. At one point, you will need to ensure your town has guard posts to ward off bandit attacks (not featured, basically if you don't have enough guard shack coverage, your buildings or supplies are damaged/stolen). Do what you must to ensure you survive.

The difficulty of the game comes in maintaining a decent population. You are always supplied with new citizens as they periodically wander into your town. You need to ensure your buildings don't decay, but even with no repairers, you could feasibly handle twenty or so buildings with just your leader. Food and water production are the key factors while housing, health care and entertainment are secondary (I went almost five years in a previous game without building housing and was at around 200/340). Crematories and enforcers also come into play to ensure the bodies are cleared from the streets (prevents disease) and enforce your laws. Latrines also are a top priority to prevent diarrhea from claiming your society. All of these factors function properly with the moral dilemmas being a by product of the established laws (abortion, homosexuality, euthanasia) and decided to bow down to bandit demands. The building selection is a bit lacking (especially in cosmetic structures), but it offers what you need to maintain a balance of land usage and output demands.

It is rather bare right now in terms of reactionary gameplay (no real events outside the bandits) and the overall game speed is incredibly slow (reason I stuck to x6 speed in this video). It offers a basic structure set to ensure survival and the core mechanics function properly. Issues boil down to some camera problems (getting stuck in terrain for instance) and the rare crash (experience two in the whole time I played it). I wouldn't say it is a terrible game, but it will greatly benefit from more buildings and events.
