Attack Of The Exclamation Marks For Commodore 64
This is an old failed project of mine. I didn't anticipate it being so slow. I used the wrong tool for the job (Commodore Basic) and no doubt I wrote inefficient code in places too. I took a tape image and sped up the speed in the emulator for the video, with a final replay of the first level at normal speed to show how it's too slow to be fun on an actual real machine. Nevertheless, I did complete it so I made a video to make a record if it.
This is a cautionary tale about falling for the sunk cost fallacy. I made the level editor before I made the game itself. I should have stopped but I felt compelled to complete it due to the time already invested.
Similar to the similarly titled DOS games I made, it was meant to be a port of sorts but it failed.
