In episode 9 of let's play RimWorld alpha 16, we continue our story of a tribe living in a mountainous, swampy forest region, using Randy Random storyteller to spice things up.

As the cold snap continues and we attempt to recruit our prisoner Paul, we shore up our defences by building a bunker in preparation for any raids. This is soon tested by an attacking man-eating elephant!

The RimWorld man-eating elephant event consists of one or more attacking elephants - we get just the one, but it's enough to keep us indoors. Then a trade caravan turns up at the same time as the man-eating elephant, and while our colony sleeps, chaos ensues!

Also in this episode of let's play RimWorld alpha 16: Sandbags everywhere, the cold snap ends but too late to grow crops, building a corpse room, huskies join the colony, the farcical prison redevelopment, Paul isn't impressed, indoor campfires and animal sleeping spots, taming and shooting elks and muffalo, burning elephant, and let's build a snow clearance zone!
