In episode 4 of our let's play Starbound volcano colony series, we've built most of the houses and protected our colony teleporter, but the worst finally happens when we're finally hit by several meteor showers. How will our defensive shield of obsidian and stone hold up against the bombs?

Starbound meteor showers happen every so often on some planets, including dead planets and volcano planets - sometimes they're a series of small meteors, other times a larger meteor followed by some smaller ones. There's a chance some meteor rock will be left behind.

Also in this episode of let's play Starbound volcano colony, we visit several other planets to find some building materials tough enough to withstand further meteor showers, and find some new furniture to attract Electrician NPCs and Socialite NPCs - requiring wired furniture and pretty/valuable furniture.

We also build our final house to complete the volcano colony, meeting a gothic NPC for the first time. And we discuss whether the whole idea of a surface colony on a meteor shower planet is ever going to work!
