In episode 5 of our let's play Starbound volcano colony series, we revisit our battered NPC colony to try to build a meteor-proof shield once and for all.

To do this, we build a testing arena where we set up a variety of durable materials to see if any of them can stand up to a full meteor shower. We also try a few extra things, such as filling the arena with water to see if this stops meteors.

But as we're waiting for a meteor shower, a giant meteor falls from the sky and we see just what kind of impact this has on the landscape.

Also in this let's play Starbound volcano colony episode, we run a few quests for our NPC colonists to ensure our colony is complete. We discuss a few upcoming additions to Starbound, including how NPC colonists will be able to join your ship crew. We also consider other people's suggested methods of meteor-proofing a base.
