Starward Rogue gameplay gets you to pick one of six deadly robots with very different loadouts, then charge through a Binding of Isaac-style series of bullet-filled arenas, find keys, buy upgrades, and kill the boss to get to the next floor.
There's also permadeath in Starward Rogue, randomly picked rooms and other "roguelite" roguelike elements that we see in this let's play Starward Rogue gameplay video.
Starward Rogue gameplay continues to evolve after release - new enemies and items are being added all the time.
