If the names of games like Boulder Dash, Earth Shaker, Down to Earth, Repton, Riptoff and Supaplex does ring a bell, and you liked these, then be sure to check out this game!

INTRODUCTION:
After the death of mankind the automatic archaeological station continues its work. This time the main task is to extract four artifacts from bunkers filled with stones. To open the passage to the next level it is necessary to collect all crystals and the energy stored in them.

REVIEW:
You control an Automated Cave Explorer and you have to explore four caves to find four artifacts. These artifacts will help the main archaeological computer to understand what has happened on this planet. You have to work your way through several caves before the artifact is located in the final level of each cave. At the start of the game you can select to play in whatever cave you would like and to be fair and square you have infinite lives and infinite time, and you can press “R” to restart level or “X” to quit game.

This is a Boulder Dash rip off but everything that could be improved in the Boulder Dash engine has literally been improved here. The most important improvement is that you can not run out of the screen / ahead of the scrolling in this version, the scrolling engine works really well in this game. The graphics is also top notch with many details and many colors, and it controls and plays well.

New enemies and new obstacles has been added, some of the obstacles will need to be hit by two other objects (in the right order) before getting destroyed, and you will also have to pay attention to the moving pattern of the new enemies and what happens when they get killed, because you will need to use some of these in your progress in some of the later levels.

If you like some of the above mentioned games you should hurry up and download this, because it is an extremely well made and polished Boulder Dash clone for the ZX Spectrum 48k.

The game was made by Alexey Borisov / Imp5 in 2019.
