In this Aven Colony gameplay video, we preview the public beta of this new colony building & city management game where you're the governer of a new settlement on an alien world called Aven Prime.
Aven Colony gameplay has you laying out the city, balancing housing, employment, survival and trade. Aven Colony gameplay is more like SimCity than games like RimWorld, with data overlays, transport systems & high-level strategy.
But Aven Colony gameplay also has RimWorld-style game elements, with special events such as cargo pods landing and alien invasions, along with farming a variety of crops, opportunities to trade and more in Aven Colony gameplay.
In this Aven Colony gameplay video we play Sandy Gulch, mission 2 in the current game build. The game also has tutorials and sandbox modes.
To get your own taste of Aven Colony gameplay, the game goes into public beta on 7 September 2016, available from itch.io. The full game release in 2017 will also be on Steam.
