Marvel Studios has been looking for a director to break its glass ceiling with Black Widow and has been meeting with filmmakers such as Deniz Gamze Erguven (the Turkish movie Mustang), Chloe Zhao (The Rider) and Amma Asante (A United Kingdom), among several others.

Thanks to an exclusive from our very own Steve Frosty Weintraub, Henry Cavill went on record about Man of Steel 2 and it’s status over at WB and DC. Asked about the status of Man of Steel 2 and his contract, Cavill was very careful with his wording and said:

Variety reports that Jessica Jones director S.J. Clarkson has been tapped to direct Star Trek 4, making her the first female to helm a film in the Star Trek franchise ever. The studio announced at CinemaCon in Las Vegas that it was planning a fourth movie with Chris Hemsworth, who appeared as Chris Pine’s father in 2009’s Star Trek. Zachary Quinto is also set to return. No release date has been set at this time.

20th Century Fox‘s presentation at CinemaCon included a first look at Golden Globe-nominee Rami Malek’s (Mr. Robot) portrayal of Freddie Mercury in the upcoming docudrama Bohemian Rhapsody. Some new images were released as well. Bohemian Rhapsody is slated to premiere in theaters on November 2, 2018.

Ahead of 20th Century Fox’s CinemaCon presentation, the studio provided the first synopsis and and story details for The Predator. Directed by Shane Black, the movie stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Thomas Jane and Jake Busey.

Twentieth Century Fox on Thursday announced that it’s partnering with interactive film company Kino Industries to license an app that will allow movie audiences to control the storyline and characters in the upcoming film Choose Your Own Adventure.
