AVerMedia Live Gamer HD vs Dxtory: I am trying out a hardware capture card to see if it will let me push my system more whilst recording (maybe run more graphics mods etc whilst still keeping good frame rate) and hopefully reduce the size of the recorded files.

SPOILER BELOW:

But as you will see, the Live Gamer HD falls short of Dxtory for quality (I recorded Dxtory on the lowest possible quality and it still rocked the Live Gamer HD pretty hard), and has some issues with tearing and low quality sound on the microphone. Great for live streaming, but for Let's Play videos and mod showcases the Dxtory program is still the King for me.
