In Avorion, Tons of Fighters, I add the system dropped by the AI boss battle. This allows me to add tons of fighters because I no longer have the need for pilots.

Yes, that's right! Back by popular demand: AVORION! In season 2, I plan on exploring the story elements to this open-world space combat sandbox sim! It is a little playthrough and, at the same time a little tutorial featuring tons of gameplay. I also leave damage to 100%, so get ready for a few ship killing crashes due to my super bad flying!

In episode 11, "Tons of Fighters," I add some more squadrons and fill them (mostly) up with fighters. After permanently installing the XSTN-VI system dropped by the AI, I have no more need for pilots, miners, and gunners. This allows me to not only own tons of fighters, but it also allows me to launch them all at the same time without the need for pilots.

I have also upgraded my ship a bit to harden its defenses with shields and extra power generation. I also add some armor and integrity field generators to further harden the ship. After all of that, I find a few battles and use my fighters to easily defeat all the hostiles. I even have a couple of repair fighters that come in very useful when in the heat of battle.

Next week I will continue to look for the mobile equipment merchant to buy the next major upgrade!

Konstantin developed Avorion from scratch for over four years as a hobby. Several free demos were released over the first years and a small community formed around the game. During this time, Konstantin met Hannes, who turned out to be a great composer for the game. Three years after the first demo release, a trailer was made and the game was put on Steam Greenlight in December 2015. Only 9 days later the game was greenlit. After the positive reception on Steam Greenlight, the former one-man-team was extended by a new member, Philipp. After the successful funding of a Kickstarter campaign in Mai 2016, the team is now working towards the Steam Early Access release of the game.
