Testing Axagon ADE-TR, USB-A, RTL8153 chipset
with VMware ESXi 7.0U2 running on a 2012 Mac Mini (Macmini6,2).

It works by default but only at 100mb/s.
Installing extra drivers allows this ethernet card to be used fully, with gigabit speeds (link below).
