Aztec Challenge, comprising of 7 sort of mini games of varying difficulty. From running through a dessert to a pyramid whilst having spears chucked at your face to swimming across a river and being eaten multiple times by evil , fleshing eating piranhas..

Released in 1983 By Cosmi, coded and music by Paul Norman.
Who also created the stunning , Forbidden forest.

This game features some incredible music that actually drives you on, it has that I want to hear more aspect yet annoyingly it restarts everytime you die. Thus the need to try again and again.
The levels are quite well executed if a little glitchy and sometimes impossible due to the random nature of each stage.
Once completed the game starts back at the beginning but even harder!!

Well I used to play this quite often as a kid and would finish it everytime, not this time though, I couldn't get past the blasted piranha stage so ended up having to skip it.
I've also since found out that there is another version that was on an atari(Atari 400/800) computers first which was actually a sideways scroller instead.

Just another curio, Paul Norman has a website which has an updated version but I was unable to access it, but here is a link all the same,

anyway hope you enjoyed my many deaths and thanks for watching. :)
