For most part, the location of the Level Skip is straight ahead from the starting point, so if you don't scroll yourself to half the screen the wrong way, you should be able to find it. Especially for levels where the Level Skip is located within two halves of cables, so if you don't see it, it means you cleared the wrong half of the cables.
