Baby Steps, the absurdly challenging walking simulator from Bennett Foddy, is finally arriving on September 8, 2025, for PS5 and PC.

Baby Steps has garnered attention for its unique take on the walking simulator genre, challenging players to master the art of walking, balancing, and climbing using a deliberate and physics-based control scheme. Early previews have highlighted the game's humor, described as an "awkward and absurd sense of humor", and its engaging gameplay that rewards patience and careful movements, even comparing it to games like Death Stranding and Breath of the Wild for its open-world exploration and environmental challenges.

The game, which features a protagonist named Nate in a bodysuit struggling to walk, has a unique control scheme where each trigger moves a limb, making even simple tasks like walking incredibly difficult. The game was originally slated for a 2023 release, followed by a delay to 2024, but a new trailer has confirmed the September 8th release date.

Each trigger controls a limb, making walking a challenge. The left stick shifts Nate's weight.

The game features a clumsy protagonist, Nate, in a bodysuit, constantly struggling to walk and often falling.
