On the 28th, February, 2023, Platinum Game's flop of 2022, Babylon's Fall was taken offline for good. It was announced only 4-5 months prior that the game would be shut down before even a year of time had passed since release.

Let that sink in - the game hasn't even turned a year yet, and it's already been switched off. No matter what you do or what you platform you play on, the game is physically unplayable. Unless, for some reason someone decides to create a mod that allows the game to be playable in single-player, this might be the last of Babylon's Fall you will ever see.

I'll stand by the fact that the game was not good, but when it comes to game conservation, no game should ever become completely unplayable due to its monitisation method.

Unfortunately, it's just another game to add to the pile of titles that have been completely ravaged by the awful development model of game's as a live service. I'm sure publisher's will learn eventually that not everygame will print money from this model, but until that day comes, server shutdowns will sadly continue.
