Swallow your fear and take up your torch. In your hands lies the fate of your land…freedom and sunlight, or the dark dominion of the Warlock Lord. Rapidly approaching its 40th birthday, Shadowgate is a fantasy point and click adventure game first released for the Mac and Amiga in 1987 with follow up releases over the next 5 years with a Windows 3x release in 1993.
Developed by ICOM Simulations, Shadowgate was published by Mindscape, Kotobuki Systems and Viacom New Media over its many releases. Shadowgate does have a more recent release than 1993, with a port of the game coming to Nintendo DS in 2014. The game has also seen sequels as well as a complete reimagining of the game which released in 2014
