Backlog Resolution: Lies of P Overture: Two-Faced Overseer
0The first of the more "cinematic" fights that Lies of P Overture has to offer. I rather enjoy the mini-phases leading to staggering the boss this time around, with the shift to red shortly before you likely hit the stagger for the boss being a nice boost in aggression and intensity before the knockdown. It gives the fight a nice, predictable rhythm while still providing a challenge with the odd staff strikes used by the Overseer. Also, it's really awesome to fight alongside Alidoro here, and a great bit of foreshadowing to the game's final boss experience.
Lies of P is an action game created by Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio and released in 2023. Lies of P Overture is the prequel DLC released in 2025 that focuses on the last days of Lea Florence Monad, the "Legendary Stalker," and her quest to save her ward and apprentice Romeo from a revenge plot crafted by her most vile foe. Featuring a handful of creative and challenging bosses, alongside some powerful and unique tools for defeating them, Lies of P Overture is a fantastic, often somewhat cinematic expansion on the original game, making it a worthwhile experience that is even more accessible now due to newer adjustable difficulty settings on top of Lies of P's already impressive set of customizable elements.
