I got a second SMX pad this year! StepmaniaX arcade pads come with an array of 12x21 (roughly, each panel is actually alternating rows of 4-3-4-3-4) programmable LEDs which can render vibrant colors at 30 frames per second.

I wrote an extension of the olcPixelGameEngine (C++ Rendering Library) made by @javidx9 to allow me to light up the LEDs of the stage through that engine! Source code for how that is done is found here: http://sig.projectdivar.com/sigonasr2/SMX_PGE/src/branch/badapple
