In this video after a couple more gruesome discoveries we finally get to the bottom of what was truly happening in the temple... unfortunately more literally for some than for others.

Shūjin e no Pert-em-Hru or Peret em Heru - For the Prisoners. Based loosely on Ancient Egyptian mythology and the mystery of The Great Pyramid Peret em Heru - For the Prisoners is an early RPG maker game for the PC-98 created by Makoto Yaotani (八百谷 真) under the alias "Makoto Serise" (芹瀬 眞人) with music by Kei Mizuho using the RPG Maker Dante 98 II engine. Should be a spooky game great for this time of year and they don't waste anytime killing someone off, and for the main characters this game features permadeath, and I'll be refusing to save load to save someone as I want to find out what ending we'd get just playing normal.

It is the only game to receive the Platinum Award in the ASCII monthly contest. Peret em Heru: For the Prisoners also ranked fourth in ASCII's Top 10 Popular Works in 1998, and ninth in the poll for the Most Popular Works of All Time. It also won the Third Annual ASCII ENTERTAINMENT competition under the "ASCII Tkool Product" category all in this netted the team 1,150,000(4,550 USD/6750 CAD yen which because japan went though a period of deflation is actually only 1,196,000 yen in todays dollars. (8,200 USD/11,300 CAD) Those are really rough numbers.
