In South Asia, prices are generally more affordable. In Pakistan, a goat for Qurbani is priced at PKR 27,000 (approximately $97 USD) . In India, prices vary widely; for example, a two-year-old goat weighing 161 kilograms was sold for ₹7.5 lakh (approximately $9,000 USD) in Bhopal .  

In the Middle East, prices also vary. In the UAE, Indian Cashmere goats (12–24 months old, weighing 14–17 kg) are available for AED 1,200 (approximately $327 USD) . In Oman, a 10–12 kg whole Somali goat is priced at 55 OMR (approximately $143 USD) .
