Baldur's Gate 3 Mind Archive: Dark Mind, Curse of Strahd Reference
I'm not 100% certain but I believe that the song that the Dark Mind sings is a reference to primary antagonist Strahd von Zarovich's origins from the popular D&D 5e campaign, Curse of Strahd.
Given that Strahd sold his soul to the Dark Force, Vampyr, in order to gain his powers, this item being called the "Dark Mind" somewhat reinforces the theory as well.
In order to get the Dark Mind here, you need to take it from the Nautiloid, all the way into Act 2 and use it in the Mind Archive underneath Moonrise Tower. You need to have the foresight to bring it here ahead of time, as you only visit the Mind Archive once, can't teleport out of it to go to camp and can't return to it later.
