Hello, this is a little trick i found. I will show you only the most important part of it, but everything else i will write down in the description.

Usually, if you do the Raphael exploit, you advance the story and the grove becomes unavailable. But with this trick at level 3, you can get everything from Raphael, without advancing the story.

I advice, to get at least 2 inspiration points before you do that for the gith patrol deception check (unless you are a githyanki as base race) if you play on honor mode, otherwise you can just savescum.

1. Just create any character. Best is one, that has the disguise self spell or if you have the DLC with the Mask of many faces, pick anything. I advice Bard, because of the spell (friends or charm person, disguise self, deception proficiency and high charisma for the gith patrol check)
2. Play the game normally until after the goblin grove fight
3. Disguise self as drow and get xp in blighted village (if you killed the mind flayer on the nautilod, you should be lvl 3 now)
4. Move to the goblin camp waypoint. Withers should now be in your camp.
5. Go to the grove and talk to Nettie (That will make Raphael appear on specific points)
6. Teleport back to blighted village and move to the risen road waypoint.
7. Go to Karlach and recruit her BUT don't talk to her afterwards at all! That's very important
8. Respec Karlach to Cleric and pick the silence + guidance spell
9. Teleport back to blighted village and move upwards towards the destroyed bridge
10. Equip a range weapon, ungroup and go into stealth mode
11. Move Karlach up to the bridge, Raphael appears, toggle to change party members. Shoot Raphael with your range weapon, he should disappear. Regroup.
12. Move to the Gith patrol. Disguise self as Githyanki (unless your race is githyanki, then you don't need a deception check to convince him). Bonus: If you acquired the shapeshift boon ring in the grove you get +1d4 on the next check and cast guidance with karlach on your main for another +1d4.
13. Do the deception check (15) (if you have a class with friends or charm person you get advantage) and after the check select, you don't know of any weapon
14. Move to the exit and go through
15. Now in camp, cast silence on Raphael with Karlach. Toggle the passive non lethal knock out on.
16. Hit Raphael until he is unconscious. You get 1500 xp and the Helldusk armor.
17. Talk to Karlach, she should have an exclamation mark on her. Select the exact dialogue options as i do.
18. Go to sleep, talk to raphael, exit the camp.
19. You are supposed to be at the creche now, but because you told Karlach you go for the Templars, you are back at the grove and can still do the Grove / Goblin questline but with 1500 xp and the helldusk armor.
