Just an FYI, you can sneak into the basement and release the prisoner entirely, without instigating a fight with the hag, she'll remain invisible the entire time, once the prisoner is gone, you can walk into her line of sight and trigger the fight, once you get her whittled down she'll start the conversation to bargain for her to live, and due to releasing the prisoner, you don't even have to choose between saving the prisoner or whatever power she offers you, you can simply kill her now or take the power and kill her straight away.

JUST MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT SILENCE THE HAG, even with a weapon with silence, will prevent the dialogue from starting and you'll just have to become passive for the silence to wear off.

Anywho, i thought this was a pretty fantastic way to clean her out, typically if you choose to strike a bargain either by saving the prisoner (if not saved) or/and taking the power, she wisps away, however, you can still kill her, but before doing so, pick pocket the crap out of her so that body doesn't just up and disappear with all the good loot.
