In this episode, or should I say, during this episode, I was not on my best game. I began with a tri-facto of grumpiness, where I woke up groggy, procrastinated this recording, and then was interrupted by a door-to-door salesperson (yes, they still do exist). With a mushy mind I decided to put on the headset, and fire up OBS for what was to be an easy video of clearing deck 2 (and possibly 3) in this episode. Well, this was not to be the case, for during this recording I make so many mistakes, I would have been better off scrapping the video and beginning afresh. I have decided not to do this, for I want to show my viewers the real side of how gaming sometimes just isn't all peaches & cream.
After a number of rests in Dradeel's house, due completely to not thinking through what I was doing, our party finally got to the point where they could get back to the wreck. We apply all the necessary buff spells of protection, even though there may be some of you yelling at your monitors and screens saying I have chosen poorly. We enter, make our way to the second deck, and all Hell breaks loose. Nobody in our party is doing what they are supposed to, and it appears no spells are having any affect. I don't even think our melee fighters know what's going on, even though they are "hasted". This is a brutal fight that takes a number of our heroes into the "red zone" in hit points, and our party members wind up consuming a large number of "potions of healing". Believe it or not, we finally manage to hack our way through the bunch of different wolf-like creatures, and the best part of this entire episode, other than nobody dying, is Imoen finds a magical silver dagger. After identifying, this would be the dagger "Werebane" (+1 THACO/+4 against lycanthropes), and now Imoen will be slicing-n-dicing her way through the remaining decks of this wreck. After this nightmare of an encounter, along with all the screwups during rest, our adventurers call it the night... and then prepare for deck three in the next episode.
