In this chapter, David completes several minor assignments in the Iron Fist Throne building and around the Flaming Fist's Headquarters, but fails to gain any new companions, since both Rasaad and Tiax show little desire to follow him against Caelar Argent. As he finally gets ready to leave the city with Captain Corwin, he receives some startling information from Skie Silvershield, and gains an unexpected companion at the last moment - the drow cleric Viconia DeVir.

46:05 - Skie Silvershield pays a surprise visit in the night with some shocking news.
47:30 - In the morning: rallying the party and saying goodbye to the Grand Dukes.
52:15: On the streets: Rayphus the paladin has some information on Caelar.
56:25: Viconia DeVir, the drow cleric, joins the party (with a slight reputation loss).
1:01:25: Captain Corwin says goodbye to her little daughter.
1:04:50: Some last minute supplies, and the hero of Baldur's Gate finally leaves for battle.
