Baldurs Gate has said NO to Microsoft.
If you'd never heard of Baldurs Gate 3 you'd probably been living under a rock for the entire 2nd half of 2023.
The game took the Game Awards by storm, even winning the Game of the Year award, so it's hard not to even hear about the game.
It's a masterpiece that's what it is.
From storytelling all the way to gameplay.
It makes the $60 price really worth it.
Now what if Microsoft decided to add it to Xbox Game Pass?
Game Pass has the tendency to add AAA games in it, with both Star Field and Lies of P available, people hoped for Baldur's Gate 3 as well.
But guess what?
Larian Studios said no.
Stating that "there is a fair price" to be paid for such a big game, even referencing that Microsoft had no plans whatsoever to have it added to the Game Pass from the get-go, going as far as calling the game pre-release a "Second-Run Stadia PC RPG", Hard to come back from that one.
Several of Larian Studio's games are already in the Game Pass, such as the Divinity series, so people hoped to see Baldurs Gate 3 in there too.
But it won't happen any time soon,
