IMPORTANT: You need one sober adult with a sense of scientific wonder
Items you need for this experiment:
Pen
Ruler
Straws
Scissors
Tape
Rubber bands
BBQ skewers
Plastic bottle tops X4
Balloon X1
Polystyrene
Stanley knife
1 Using a Stanley knife cut your chassis from the block of polystyrene
2 Cut two straws to match the width of the chassis
3 Stick them on the chassis using tape
4 Using a Stanley knife make holes in the middle of the bottle tops
5 Cut the skewers so they are 4 inches long (or just one inch longer than the chassis)
6 Skewer one bottle top on to one of the skewers
7 Feed the skewer through the straw
8 Put the other bottle top on the other side of the skewer
10 Do the same to form the second set of wheels
11 Attach your balloon to another straw using an elastic band
12 Tape the straw on to the top of the car
13 Inflate the balloon to create the power source
Live Experiments: Our resident science demo thrill-seekers will give the YouTube audience their big science treat each week with an experiment where you can find out how to make food dance, power a light bulb with household objects and create mega smoke rings!
