Baneworth plays Before The Dawn
4First horror game since "Stop it slender" which was back in May 2014. Man, time sure flies. Anyway...
In this atmospheric twist on hide and seek, a group of survivors must avoid getting caught by the seeker known as the slasher. The selection of slashers consists of iconic movie villains and monsters, like the predator, Freddy Krueger, and everyone's favourite lord of the death star canteen Jeff Vader!
The survivors spend 6 in-game hours (Like the Five Nights at Freddy's Franchise) in the chosen map with the slasher. But they're not unequipped for the ride. The equipment consists of a lantern, and a selection of secondary tools, such as a tracker, bear traps, and night vision/tracer goggles, plus a skill, ranging from leg man, to thick skin, to the situational iron lungs.
But the survivors aren't the only ones with abilities. The slashers each have unique abilities that can be activated when ready. Special mention goes to the grudges ability, which can easily catch new players off guard.
If you have the misfortune to die to the hands of the slasher, you can pay 200 points to become a ghost. Ghosts have the ability to turn invisible and cause interventions, which disable lanterns and lock doors.
Last, but not least, there's a shop with lantern skins, taunts, and death screams. That's unusual. One thing that annoys me is that every time you re-enter the game, you have to re-equip taunts and screams you bought. -_-
Welp, better start searching for more worthwhile games. I'm actually starting to run low.
