Baofeng UV-82 review and power test - Read description

This is a Baofeng UV-82 dual band radio which is primarily a Ham radio but also has Part 90 LMR certification.
This is NOT a GMRS, FRS or MURS (Part 95) radio nor is this an appropriate radio for AIrsoft, Paintball, Off Roading, etc. As it requires an FCC license (Tech class ham or Part 90 LMR) to transmit.
If you are looking for a similar radio for those activities look up the BTech MURS V1 and/or BTech GMRS V1.
If you want to listen only or use this for railfanning then it is perfectly legal and cheaper than a police scanner radio just PLEASE don't transmit. In fact dont put in a transmit frequency.
Also it really helps to get one of these with a programming cable and using CHiRP to program it. Just DO NOT TRANSMIT if you do not have a proper license to or permission to on a part 90 frequency / radio system.
