Baron Vs Pokemon Unite / Astral Chain Practice: R2-16
I am very happy to announce that I have sold my soul and partnered with Tencent as a brand ambassador. Screw that, it's just a dumb fake out. Have some Astral Chain instead. Glad to hear people are genuinely enjoying the game though.
Original fake title: Baron Vs Pokemon Unite
Haven't played in a while and needed to practice. Decided to record a warm up on R2-16. It's one of the few places you can actually hear the Grand Avenue combat music. The other one I know of is while 'fighting' that one tagger in File 08. But yeah, this is basically me screwing around and getting used to the game again. This is what editing too much Dark Souls 3 does to a person.
I'm happy that people are liking Pokemon Unite, but it's definitely not for me. Feels way too sluggish after all those years of Dota 2, even the faster characters. Also not a fan of the 'buy your characters' model. I like being able to play and experiment with the full roster.
The game runs pretty well but the store almost caused a soft crash. Venusar's raw power was too much for my Switch. Hopefully the monetisation isn't too scummy in the long run but I have no faith that'll actually be the case.
Speaking of which, I wish I could still recommend Dota 2 but Valve loves breaking features and never fixing them (custom HUDs in particular never got fixed). Love that they also hide useful features behind a glorified paywall (Dota Plus can suck it). I remember the good ol' days when you had slap gems into cosmetic to tracks stats. Guess this was just an excuse to dump on MOBAs after all.
Astral Chain - New Invader in the Sewers (Kronos Cutscene)
I realise the irony given that Tencent has invested in Platinum Games, but I wasn't going to let that ruin my fun.
