Bartolous was a small man whom possessed a great power. One day when he was young, a spiritual manifestation began to follow by his side, known as Tomo. Tomo's partnership granted Bartolous psychic abilities, and with these powers, Bartolous did man commendable and heroic things. One day, around Bartolous' 30th birthday, his mind began to shift and break, being flooded with lecherous and perverse thoughts to the point of insanity. In time, he overtook Tomo due to the severity of his minds degradation and began to shift into a new form to match his mental appearance. Now Bartolous-Tomo wanders the catacombs of Dodor, leaving a paralytic slime trail in his wake. It is unknown what happens to his victims, but it is most certainly horrifying and degenerate as all hell.

Though he appears slug-like, he is not a mollusca. All movement of his 'monstrous' form is controlled through the psychic powers he has absorbed from Tomo. Due to the advanced state of degradation to his mind, however, he sloughs across the ground much like a slug as it's all his mental abilities can muster. His limbs no longer serve a purpose as they have long since become malformed and decrepit. Bartolous still believes himself a young luthario, completely delusional to his current appearance, and as such keeps his bathrobe suit in pristine condition of cleanliness at all times, believing it to attract women. It does not.

His head is quite hollow, only illuminated by the fragments of his remaining soul acting as eyes. Since some part of his former humanity remains, so to does some of the pride he once held. A little known fact for any would be adventurer looking to best this beast is simply, criticize him. It does not matter for what, or why, any critique no matter how constructive or well meaning will send Bartolous into a uproarious blind fury.
