A playthrough of Jaleco's 1995 Sony PlayStation baseball game, Bases Loaded `96: Double Header.

Exhibition mode played - I chose the Atlanta Braves and the Cleveland Indians for the 95 World Series.

This is an odd proposition - it plays just like the old NES Bases Loaded games. It's great in that way - it feels familiar and comfortable, and everything is just the way it was before except for the random FMV clips and 3D graphic facelift. The only hitch is that this really plays no differently than the NES games. It's still fun, but at this point, baseball games had moved on from the super simplistic 8-bit style games.

It's not really a huge knock against it, especially if that's what you're into - just don't play this expecting to see how far along sports games had come by 1995. It's more like a nostalgic look over the shoulder before the trigger was pulled on the series.
