Bash the Party - Kill the purples, free Retro City
11The story is cute and serviceable. The level design is pretty good, despite looking unpolished. The neon colors and weird nodding heads are interesting to look at while the soundtrack carries you through. The issue is with the actual gameplay. Shooting feels okay but movement through the environment is slow and largely pointless. Enemies march in lock step toward you, auto-locking their guns once they are in range. The only reason to move is to kite them around terrain (which is oddly destructible) and get out of range. If it were quite a bit cheaper, I would definitely recommend it. At the current price, I'd say try the demo, then wait for a sale.
