Bat Boy Demo - Wield the Power of Baseball and Pogo Places in this Action Platformer
16A playthrough of the demo for Bat Boy which currently has three levels and bosses to play and has some nice Shovel Knight vibes. Using your bat to hit projectiles and pogo ability (just like in baseball) you traverse levels for gems and secrets while trying to save your brainwashed friends from the horror that is baseball. After all, only you are capable of wielding the power of baseball and no friends or villains can take your schtick.
Looks quite promising. Hitboxes can be kind of weird at times but often to the player's advantage. Pogoing is a bunch of fun and it's well-implemented here. You only need Batspin to complete the demo but the other abilities can be used to access some secret areas for collectibles that will be more relevant in the main game. It also has that Mario 3/Shovel Knight sort of overworld which lets you pick from any unlocked level to tackle next or retry for more secrets.
