37 years ago Frank Miller turned 31 and felt that he had become older than Batman. For this he decided to deal with by writing and illustrating an Old Man Batman story that came to be known as The Dark Knight Returns… which was the name of the first book in a 4 part miniseries.
A decade later that miniseries was paid a homage to in The New Batman Adventures cartoon's episode Legends of the Dark Knight and 15 years later the entire miniseries was adapted into 2 animated movies.
This video is about those first 2 books adapted into that first animated movie.
