Battle Athletess Daiundokai: GTO isn't a bad licensed game. It's not even a bad game, really. It's just odd for it's age. Released twenty-five years ago today--January 14, 1999--it feels like a total throwback to Japan's 8-bit era. And though the characters are a little off design it's still Battle Athletess (Battle Athletes, if you must) and that's great.
