Battle Modes Classic and Normal/Easy Difficulty Explained - Final Fantasy 7 Remake
To the point and easy to follow guide on the difficulty settings in Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
There are two Battle Modes: Normal/Easy and Classic.
Normal/Easy is real-time combat where you need to attack, guard and evade.
While doing this you will also have to use Battle Commands such as Spells, Items and Abilities.
Commands can be used when the ATB gauge is filled.
Party members will not use these Commands on their own so you will have to execute the Commands for them.
To avoid menus during battle you can set 4 Shortcuts to your favorite Commands.
Otherwise you can use the Commands Menu and time will slow down dramatically.
In this Battle Mode you have to pay attention to a lot of things like: ATB gauges and your party's health.
While walking, attacking, defending and evading.
If this is all a little overwhelming you might want to consider the other Battle Mode: Classic.
You can switch between Battle Modes in the Main Menu (while you are not in battle).
In Classic Battle Mode attacking, guarding and evading is done automatically.
Your character will also lock on targets and walk automatically.
In this Battle Mode you only have to wait until the ATB gauges are filled and execute Commands.
If you want you can take over control and attack, defend and walk yourself.
If you stop pressing the buttons it will automatically go back into auto-mode.
The difficulty in Classic Mode is the same as Easy.
I recommend you give both Battle Modes a try and find out which one you prefer.
