The Tablet market has entered into a new phase with the introduction of the Kindle Fire and Nook Tablet. Both Tablet are made by Amazon and Barnes & Nobel respectively, who are leaders in the ereader market with the Kindle & the Nook. Now they enter into the Tablet Market introducing two devices that play video, music and has web access all within a sub $260 price tag. The question begs to be asked which is better, the Kindle Fire packed with Amazon services and unlimited cloud storage or the Nook Tablet with more ram and more onboard storage. Kindle Fire
The Kindle Fire has a 7-inch IPS display with Gorilla glass coating, weighs approximately 14.6 ounces, its got 8 Gb of storage (actually 6GB), with unlimited cloud storage. It is a Wi-Fi capable tablet, no Bluetooth or 3G.The first thing you will notice about the Kindle Fire is the lack of physical button anywhere on the device, its got one and that is the power button, The whole system is enclosed, so the battery is not removable, there are no cameras in the front or in the rear. The Nook Tablet has got a 7-inch VividView IPS color touchpanel with a 1024 x 600 screen resolution(169 PPI), a 1.2GHz dual-core OMAP4 processor, 1GB of RAM, dimensions of 8.1- x 5- x 0.48-inches ( that's 14.1 ounces), 16GB of inbuilt storage, a microSD expansion slot, battery life is up to 11 hours. Both the Amazon Kindle fire and the Nook Tablet are worthy tablets in the sub 4300 price mark. Both company's have created a an entry level tablet that performs on a high level standard. But we want to know which is better.
The Answer is the Kindle fire. The Kindle fire though slightly lighter is specs provides the best value in performance and services. Amazon has done a great job in combing their service; from Kindle books, music and Video on demand as well as a smooth an robust browser to give individuals all the need at their finger tips. Plus the $200 price tag really makes it a brainer and an ultimate impulse purchase for a tablet. So there you have it the Kindle fire is our winner and the Tablet of choice between it and the nook Tablet.
