Battlefield 1 | How to fix the DirectX 12 Crash issue in BF1 (Updated)
While I fly the behemoth around, let's go over some very helpful steps in fixing the crashes associated with BF1 and DirectX 12.
Steps to help prevent crashing
1. Make sure Direct X 12 is disabled.
2. Turn off the origin overlay
3. make sure Steam isn't running because it too has an overlay.
4. make sure NVidia Experience isn't running - this sounds like a broken record but it too has an overlay and we are trying to rule out anything that may be crashing the game.
5. make sure you have the latest drivers which I am sure you do, but if you don't - go and get them.
6. Go into your BF1 settings - make sure Auto is selected and you're settings are on the optimal ones.
7. Next youa re going to head into GPU memory rescrictions and make sure that is set to on.
8. Lastly if you are crashing after rounds, try alt tabbing out and then back in. I have heard this can fix that and get you to the next round.
