Battlefield 1 Open Beta Gameplay - BF1 Kill Montage
I thought I'd throw together a quick video showcasing a lot of the new content available in the Beta of Battlefield 1. New Rush gameplay and Conquest on Sinai Desert, Horses, elite classes, aggressive scout gameplay, excessive melee fun time, trains and much, much more.
If you enjoyed the video, boop that like button and let me know what you think in the comments below!
I'm not gonna lie - I'm in love with melee kills again. BF4 tended to discourage the stab-happy playstyle I had in Battlefield 3 (for those that don't have me friended on gaming platforms, the knife was my top weapon in BF3 by about 600 kills, and by February '12 I was World #50 for knife kills. WORLD. NUMBER. FIFTY.)
I like stabbing. I like the humiliation! What can I say?
Unfortunately that ranking dropped like a sack of hot shit when the various stat-boosting community servers took hold. Infinite revive chains, people racking up knife kills, weapon kills and supply/heal points really sucked the fun out of global leaderboards.
ANYWAY. DICE have, with Battlefield 1m really brought melee back into the forefront - as you'll see in this video, hammering the STAB STAB STAB key in a face-to-face fight often wins, even against people with SMGs. Inaccurate panic fire lets you wreck face pretty reliably with shovels, clubs or knives; and the bayonet charge is oh so satisfying, if occasionally buggy (I've been stuck on door frames, bounced off people I charge directly into, etc) and is going to be a main staple of my play. I love aggressive Scout play with the SMLE Carbine, and the bayonet lends itself well to a frontline role.
Hoping that'll be present in the NEXT WWII BATTLEFIELD, YEAH, DICE?
I'll also be uploading some full rounds soon for a good look at some Aggressive Scout play, 10 straight minutes of Flamethrower Murder, and half a round murdering Turks with an AT emplacement.
