Battlefield 2042 Control Unlocked Mode - Death From Above Event
725Best strategy for this limited time game mode Control Unlocked ( take and hold rotating objectives to upload tactical telemetry, while earning Ascension Points to purchase vehicles ), make the enemy team ragequit before they have enough points to call in a vehicle and steamroll your team. The event game modes always remind me that there are so many players out there that you never come across because they stick to uhhh other game modes like TDM, Rush, Breakthrough, etc. and have no idea what they are doing when faced with the other aspects of core Battlefield game modes like Conquest, that is for example enemies coming from all directions ( not just one ) and infantry vs vehicle combat. I saw vehicles being spawned in and then just left empty multiple times. Anyways vehicles haven't even been balanced for 128 player Conquest, what in the world makes DICE think reducing the player count and putting in almost no restrictions on spawning vehicles is a good idea.
I was mainly playing this throwaway game mode because I did not realize you could unlock the new LMG outside of the game mode for the Death From Above event. DICE seemed to have specifically left out the wording for it on their website's explanation of unlocking the newly added things as well as in-game. "Ingame progression and natural play of Control Unlocked contributes towards the unlocking of the XFAD-4 Draugr (40 Ribbons) and the DFR Strife LMG (80 Ribbons) allowing you to use these cutting edge pieces of hardware across the Battlefield" and "We look forward to seeing you capture and hold objectives in the limited timed mode Control Unlocked, as you begin to work your way towards delivering death from above with the XFAD-4 Draugr", whatever more shotgun gameplay for you guys I guess :)
