Battlefield 3 is once again eating into my available free-time. I had stopped for nearly a year when Electronic Arts announced their premium service and had effectively given their original fans the middle finger. Returning to Battlefield now feels very alien with some major weapon and game mode tweaks changing the flow and pace of the game, although that isn't necessarily a bad thing.
There are still the same old problems: player balancing is broken, bullet lag persists and you can occassionally find yourself inexplicably killed by the scenary of Battlefield 3's sprawling levels. Even so, I'm always left aghast by how much they pushed out of the Playstation 3's hardware with this one.
