I'm not sure how long this series will last, I recorded a lot of gameplay, however I will be splicing a lot of it up. Uploading an entire round seemed like it could get boring fast, so I opted for this.

The Beta was fantastic. If you don't know I've been a Battlefield fan since 1942 and recently the series has become stale. Battlefield 3 was okay. I got my fair share of time in it, but not compared to Bad Company 2 which I thoroughly enjoyed but that might've been because it was so fresh after waiting so many years with Battlefield 2.

I've spent more time playing Battlefield 2 than probably any other game with over 3k total hours across several accounts. I spent way too much time playing it as a teenager and young adult in two clans, the latter of which I was in the part of founding and am still a part of if only by a small margin. With the Special Forces expansion, booster packs, not to mention Project Reality mod Battlefield 2 is probably my golden age of gaming. 2142 was even fun for a really long time.

Battlefield Vietnam, 1942 and the expansions in-between were classics as well but I will always have hope for this series whether I like to or not. I will say though that I am particularly confident and optimistic about the 4th in the franchise. I had more fun with the Beta of 4 than what I ever did with all of 3.

I could probably go on for an hour about things I did enjoy about it instead to point out a few flaws with it I would say some work needs to be done. I'm not sure if I'm the only one to ever see this and it enrage them but since BC2 I've had an issue with getting wasted by someone who is in the reloading animation. I'm sure having to do with latency it is just the clients and server trying to keep up, but goddamned is it infuriating. Although there is an improvement on destrucability, including the skyscraper in the middle of the map ( Which is way too easy to knock down ) I would've liked to see any building come down with enough damage. Battlepacks are also something that look scary from how familiar to the P2W scheme they look.

All-in-all I expect to be around for Battlefield 4, and quite a bit of it. If its as good as what it plays like so far then I might actually keep enough interest to invest in the expansions down the road, unlike BF:3
