BATTLEMODE Plays: Dominions 5 SP | Lanka - Episode 12
6Dominions 5 is one of the most complex strategy games on the market, a masterpiece by Illwinter Game Design. Although it was intended primarily as a multiplayer game, Dominions has an excellent single player experience if you put some effort into learning how to get the most of it.
Here I play in the Early Age as Lanka, a nation of Rakshasha, blood drinking demon ogres who subjugated a race of intelligent monkeys as their slaves (and food supply) and are pitted in a war against their ancient enemies, the Yavanas and Devatas of Kailassa. They're one of my favourite nations in the game with their huge range of strategic and tactical options available and horrifying lore, and are likely one of the few truly evil factions in the game.
This first episode includes some discussion on Dominions 5 as a single player game compared to multiplayer, some suggestions on how to get the most out of it and some game-setup recommendations.
